I am first and foremost a foodie thriving in the rich food culture here in Portland. Originally from Michigan, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University in 2016. There, I found limited avenues for nutritional preventative medicine and an abundance of symptom based medicine. I love expressing myself through food preparation and sharing the energy of food with family and friends. I believe in individualized nutrition counseling and coaching individuals through their whole lifestyle change process – from talking about food relationships to making home-cooked meals. I don’t believe there is one right diet nor in restricting foods. Rather, I believe in moderation, small and lasting lifestyle changes, discovering foods that bring you pleasure as well as good health, and fueling your body with local nutrient rich foods that allow you to reach your vibrant, energized self. I want to give you the science, tools, and guidance of why a lifestyle including certain foods can be vital for our existence.
